Seton Academy was established to meet the the needs of children in the Las Vegas area. Psychologists and educators agree that more learning takes place during the first five years of the child's life than at any other period. It is with this in mind that we have planned our school program, and prepared an environment which will aid the development of the young child socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
The original Seton Academy, founded in 1963 by Tony and Mary Drago, was the first unafilliated preschool in Las Vegas. Tony Drago died in 1978 and Mary later married Matthew Hayes. Mrs. Hayes oversees the programs at both campuses as the Executive Director and her family is also involved in many facets of the business.
Through her dedication and skill, over 8,500 children have benefited from the Seton learning experience and is now into it's second generation. Seton Academy Preschool and Kindergarten continues to be one of Las Vegas' finest. Seton Academy offer its students academic instruction, living skills, and fun according to a time tested program created and perfected by Mrs. Hayes and her experienced staff. Seton Academy is extremely fortunate to maintain a long-standing staff of expert teachers.
Seton Academy is the longest licensed Pre-School in Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada. Seton Academy was named the "Best in the City," by Las Vegas Magazine, December 2001 and the Premier Preschool and Kindergarten in Las Vegas.
Psychologists and educators agree that more learning takes place during the first five years of a child’s life than at any other time. This is why it is so important that a child's preschool experience is a positive and rewarding one. It is with this philosophy in mind that we developed our unique programs by creating an environment that encourages the social, physical, emotional and intellectual development of the young child.
Seton Academy adheres to all state requirements for licensed preschools, including the established teacher/child ratios.
